To that end we work diligently to authenticate every piece that comes into the store. To do otherwise would be to devalue high-end brands and the intelligent women who shop here..

Every item consigned at Duet is thoroughly examined when it arrives at the store. Our authentication process includes:

• Checking for proper serial numbers

• Checking authentication holograms

• Examining craftsmanship, and checking everything pertaining to quality

If there is any doubt at any stage of the authentication process then we contact the designer label directly for their opinion on the piece. This can either be at a retail location or in some cases the Legal or Trademark Department of the manufacturer.

Every piece of jewelry at Duet is examined by an independent appraiser/ gemologist certified by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). Gold, platinum and precious stones are tested and verified.

Hallmarks and signatures, are studied and authenticated and a determination is made as to the period the piece was created. Our jewelry customers buy with confidence because of the measures we take.
